dbstat update 3 Feb 94 NAME dbstat - calculates amino acid frequencies in a protein database SYNOPSIS dbstat DESCRIPTION dbstat reads a file of one or more nucleic acid sequences and calculates the amino acid frequencies, both in terms of absolute numbers, and as a fraction of the total. input - The input file is the standard .wrp (Pearson) format, such as that produced by getob: >name ; one or more comment lines (optional) sequence lines Comments begin either with semicolon (;) or right arrow (>) characters.
